Did you know?

  • Plants make up 99.7% of the biomass of our planet, while all animals and humans combined only make up the remaining 0.3%? Plants can survive as autotrophic creatures without us - we, on the other hand, are completely dependent on them.

  • Plants can "see" even though they don't have eyes in the shape we expect! They also can smell without noses and actively produce sounds without vocal cords in order to communicate. They use complex communication structures that we have only partially deciphered so far.

  • Plants do remember certain events and learning effects throughout their entire life.

  • Plants’ lifespan can reach 43,000 years and more! This means that these individuals were witnesses to the entire development of Homo Sapiens.

  • The genomes of many plants are much more complex, diverse, further developed, simply LARGER than our human ones? A humble rice plant has around 43,000 genes, while humans have only 25,000. And, yes: the size of the genome stands for (survival) intelligence.

  • The root systems of plants work in a similar way to our brains‘.
